Chase statement PDF to CSV or QBO

How to get Chase statements out as PDFs, what Chase already exports natively, and how to turn the PDF into a CSV or QuickBooks .qbo file that's checked against the statement's own balances.

Statement history online
up to 7 years of PDF statements, depending on account type
Native CSV/QFX/QBO download
Yes, on desktop: CSV, QFX, QIF and QBO from Spending Planner's download
Best use of a PDF converter
Chase already gives you QBO and CSV for recent activity, so use its own download first. A converter earns its keep for the older months that only exist as PDF statements, and for proving a month against Chase's printed ending balance.

What Chase says

Convert a Chase PDF statement to CSV or QBO

  1. Download the statement PDF from Chase online banking (see above). Use the downloaded PDF, not a scan or a phone photo.
  2. Open StatementHaul and drop the PDF in. It's read in your browser with pdf.js.
  3. Look at the result: Reconciled means opening + credits − debits equals the printed closing balance. If it doesn't, the first row that breaks is highlighted.
  4. Download the CSV or the .qbo file.

Importing into QuickBooks

QuickBooks Online's CSV upload accepts a 3-column (Date, Description, Amount) or 4-column (Date, Description, Credit, Debit) layout. [Intuit] StatementHaul's CSV has more columns (Date, Description, Amount, Debit, Credit, Balance, Page), so delete the extra columns first or map them in the upload step. The .qbo file is OFX 1.02 Web Connect with a generic bank ID. QuickBooks Online imports it under Banking › Upload transactions. QuickBooks Desktop is stricter about bank IDs and may refuse it, in which case use CSV.

StatementHaul's parser is generic: it reads standard text-based PDF statements by column position. We have not tested it on Chase statements specifically. As of October 2026 it has been tested on 11 public sample statements (a US bank, two US credit unions and open-source test sets) plus 4 synthetic ones. Scanned or image-only PDFs are not supported. The balance check tells you on screen whether the rows add up to the printed closing balance, and a statement that fails to parse isn't counted against your free statements.

Convert the PDF and check it to the cent

Drop a text-based statement PDF into StatementHaul. It's converted in your browser, never uploaded, and the opening + credits − debits = closing check runs on every statement. Your first 2 statements are free with no signup, then $9 one-time for 10 or $29 one-time for 100.
